Greek-inspired restaurant Ava MediterrAegean is finally ready to open in downtown Winter Park.

The Park Avenue space that formerly housed Luma will reopen as the home of Ava MediterrAegean Friday, Feb. 4, with chef Keith Bombaugh as executive chef.


Bombaugh has experience working alongside Grant Achatz in the kitchen of three-Michelin-starred Alinea in Chicago and at Mirabelle in Washington, D.C. Bombaugh signed on after Top Chef Season 3 winner Hung Huynh departed.



Ava’s secluded underground bar, “The Lounge,” will have a DJ, private dining area and a progressive cocktail program. It will be set in Luma’s former wine cellar.
