If the psychics fascinate you, then you’ve probably asked yourself this question: “Are psychics real?” Well, I‘m here to tell you that many psychics are legit. That’s because I am one myself!

It’s hard to say where I acquired my psychic abilities, especially since I’m not aware of any psychic history in my family.

Now that I look back, it’s obvious to me I was psychic my whole life; it’s just that I thought everyone saw and knew the same things I did about the life going on around me.

How I Discovered That Psychics Are Real

It wasn’t until after I went for a psychic reading on the recommendation of a friend that my eyes were finally opened to the truth that psychics are real.

After I connected with the psychic on a whole different level, I studied with this reader for almost five years before I hung up my own shingle and started answering the question, “Are psychics real?” on behalf of others.

Searching online for “psychics near me”? Remember that each professional psychic has their own unique talents and specialties.

For twenty years, I was the resident psychic at the only occult shop in Manhattan, New York. During these two decades, my readings consisted of a blend of tarot cards, astrology, and chakra readings.

Most of the readings I did involved helping people resolve the normal challenges they face in everyday life, such as relationship issues, career choices, and other typical dilemmas.

Occasionally, something a little more mysterious would come along, like investigating a haunting. Another example is using my psychic skills to enter into other states of consciousness to clear a space or free someone from unwanted energy around them.

One special service I would sometimes offer, which provided a happy alternative to readings on people’s problems, was when I helped couples select their wedding dates. An instance of this that comes to mind was the time I helped my good friend Kathy choose her special day.

During the years we’d known each other, Kathy had more than her fair share of relationship woes. When she called one day to tell my wife and I that her Norwegian boyfriend K-Jell had proposed, my wife immediately suggested that a cool wedding gift would be to help the couple select a good day astrologically for their wedding.

Kathy was pleased by my offer. A couple of weeks later, we began the process with me suggesting she choose several days that she, K-Jell, and the families could all agree upon.

The reason I asked for her to provide me with a selection of days is because, unlike some astrologers, I never felt that the planets alone ultimately determined your fate. The planets can be quite helpful if you’re willing to keep an open mind.

Yet, I have always believed in the power of choice and free will as the final word on your destiny, whether you’re into astrology charts or spells for romance.

Kathy was born in England, but her fiancée’s immediate family all lived in Norway. Therefore, the logical choice for the ceremony would be in one of those two countries, especially since Kathy planned on relocating to Norway once they were married.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with how astrology is used to select the most auspicious day for an event, let’s begin the step-by-step process of how it’s done.

Astrological charts are calculated based on a place in time, whether the reader is referring to a physical chart or a virtual one on psychic websites.

In this case, the place is Oslo, Norway, and the time is whatever day looks the best of the six I was given. To simplify matters, I will reverse engineer the process and justify why I chose April 9, 2021, from among the six days I was presented with.

At this point, I’d like to speak about another matter where I depart from the conventional logic of many astrologers. This would be in regard to the importance put on the houses in a horoscope.

I won’t get overly philosophical other than to state a fact: The houses in astrology are entirely time-sensitive regarding their boundaries. For me, this presents a conundrum since time, as a 24-hour clock, is a human construct and not an eternal or divine one.

As a result, I prefer to disregard the houses and just use the planetary positions and aspects for something like this. That’s because the positions of planets can be depended on to last for a full 24 hours or more (with the exception of the Moon), as opposed to a house cusp that changes every few minutes.

With the above in mind, the planetary positions for April 6 presented exactly the right signature that my friend would probably want to mark the day for committing her heart to another for the rest of her life.

It began with the Sun (the life force), Venus (love), and the asteroid Ceres (the mother archetype) all conjunct (or together) in the sign of Aries, the symbol of the ram that signifies adventure and exploration.

Together, these Aries planets were all strongly aspected by Mars (the planet of courage and the natural ruler of Aries) to create a strong energy that would help further unify the couple in a sexual, romantic, and nurturing relationship.

In addition, these Aries planets were further affected by a sextile from Jupiter, the planet of abundance, leadership, and trust, as it served to amplify the positive energies of them all. An additional trine of Jupiter to Mars further spoke to a relationship that would be strong enough to endure even the most challenging hardships.

The final aspect, swaying my opinion that the 9th of April was the best day for my friend’s wedding, was a conjunction of Neptune and the Moon in Pisces.

Both of these planets are extremely strong in this sign, with Neptune ruling Pisces and the Moon exalted there. This aspect is all about the highest, deepest, and most profound feelings of love, which could lead to a profound relationship that would border on the spiritual.

At that point, I sat back and thought how perfect this chart looked for my friend’s wedding. Yet, after a second, my experience kicked in and I thought that nothing in life is completely perfect. It was then I decided to take a closer look to see if there were any downsides in my calculations.

Sure enough, there was one dark spot in this chart: it was in the form of a square of the Moon and Neptune with Mars. Ouch!

This represented an illusion in the form of the Moon and Neptune clashing with the force of Mars. A square would also make this something that both Kathy and K-Jell would feel internally.

At first, I felt disappointed, thinking it was back to the drawing board. But then, I had second thoughts. Would this influence of the Moon, Neptune, and Mars really be such a bad thing? After all, there was so much good in the rest of the chart to counteract this negative influence.

Besides, isn’t that what a marriage is ultimately about? Two people facing life and their fears with the strength of a loving union to back them up? There were so many other positive things that showed this would be a loving union.

Once I decided to leave things as they were and explained my choice to Kathy, she was quite pleased. As a committed yoga teacher, she was no stranger to the ups and downs of a spiritual path. So, she clearly recognized the overall spiritual harmony this particular day provided.

Kathy was officially married on April 9, 2021. The ceremony was in Norway, and my wife and I participated via online video conferencing from our apartment in New York.

So, Are Psychics for Real? You Bet!

Are there real psychics out there? Well, there is no guarantee that working with an astrologer or psychic to pick your wedding day will guarantee that your union will be a happy, fruitful, and enduring one.

All I can say is that Kathy and K-Jell are still happily married three-and-a-half years later. What’s more, they are certainly still young enough to fulfill Ceres’ part in my calculations if they wanted to.

I hope this simple story I shared has helped sway you to the belief that psychics are real, even a little bit. But ultimately, it’s all belief, so you should choose what to believe.
