Waterford Lakes Town Center is set to debut an outdoor live event series called Playhouse in October.
Intended as immersive dinner-and-a-show type events, Playhouse will consist of three separate themed productions on select nights in October and November. Social distancing and mask-wearing will be mandatory.
The three Playhouse productions include:
Country Western Jamboree (Oct. 3) combines rope tricks, comedy skits, stilt-walkers and covers of country tunes and country and bluegrass tunes for an "unforgettable Hootenanny."
The Spirit of Samba (Oct. 17) features a live Brazilian band playing bossa nova and more, dancers accompanying every beat, and even Capoeira demonstrations thrown in for good measure.
Hawaiian Luau (Nov. 14) includes all the expected food and drink trappings of a luau celebration, dancers and – yes – a fire knife performance.
Shows will be held under a big ol' tent because endless hurricane season. More information
can be found here.
