This morning’s grand-opening celebration included an elaborate ceremony involving drummers, singers, outrigger canoes and, of course, the “native” Waturi islanders.
To mark the official opening, islanders handed Universal president Bill Davis a ceremonial “lotus stone,” which then caused an eruption from the Krakatau volcano, which you can see in the video above.
