Orlando, are you ready to laugh … glamorously? The National Miss Comedy Queen Pageant happens in the City Beautiful this week over multiple nights with madcap drag queens from all over the country converging on Orlando with intent to slay our funny bones.
As you read this, preliminaries are already underway at Southern Nights, with the final round happening Wednesday night. We’re laser-focused, however, on the finals Thursday at the Plaza Live, where all the finalists will go before an all-star panel including local luminaries Venus Envy, MrMs Adrien and Gidget Galore for a night of radical chuckles compèred by previous winner Debbie Does Drag.
Between this pageant and the Lady Bunny show at Funny Bone, fans of comedy queens maybe have never had it so good.
