Read artfully at Snap Book Day this Saturday (it's OK to just look at the pictures)

If you've ever been bitten by the art-book bug, you know it's a habit that can cost you plenty. Sure, you could sit in a library carrel and get your fix, but it's just not the same as leafing through those luscious pictures on a comfy couch, enjoying an espresso or maybe a mimosa as you feast your eyes.

Snap! feels you. So they're starting an every-so-often Book Day, at which they'll share the treasures of their extensive and beautiful library in the chic environs of the Snap! Space. Rare books and imported art and fashion magazines will be available (just a few of them are pictured here) ... and possibly a mimosa or two. So civilized.

Snap! Orlando presents : 'SNAP! BOOK DAY'
Saturday, June 27th, 11:00am - 4:00pm. (no cover)

Join us for an afternoon mimosa, coffee and sweet treats with art and photo books, limited edition European periodicals, magazines and art guides. This is the kick-off to a recurring event held on select Saturdays at Snap! Space.

Collectors are willing to pay steep prices for the world’s finest art and photography books. We’ll be showcasing signed rare editions from the likes of Duane Michals, Gottfried Helnwein, Irwin Olaf, Mei Xian Qiu, Sebastiao Salgado, Viviane Sassen and many more. Sometimes these books have captured an era or a location, sometimes they have helped to coin an artistic trend, most often they are simply the finest work of a particular artist or photographer.

Along with art and photography books, we will showcase the best periodicals in fashion, European magazines, photo magazines and architectural guides. Post and current editions will be on view for your perusing pleasure! Also on view is our current exhibition, ‘LIFE IN REAL TIME.’

Free parking in Snap! Space’s lot on Thornton Ave. behind the building. Snap! Space is the 5,000 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor gallery home of Snap! Orlando, a 501(c) 3 charitable foundation with the mission to celebrate master photographers, and artists, discover and cultivate emerging talent and promote the appreciation of photography and art worldwide.
