The year in comedy is starting off hot for audiences in Central Florida, with legends like Jim Gaffigan and Patton Oswalt having already headlined Orlando stages. Add to that list Sarah Silverman, one of the most unique performers of this century, whose “Postmortem” tour hits the Hard Rock Live on Friday.

Hailing from the Granite State of New Hampshire, Silverman was a writer and performer on SNL back in 1993, but her stand-up career began in NYC, five years earlier. She has worked in basically every form of communication, from TV to film to books to the off-Broadway stage. Her eponymous podcast is one of the best in a highly saturated podcast market.

The proud Northeastern liberal will have plenty to say to audiences in Florida, much of which may be about Florida itself. It’s hard to believe that she’s been doing this for over 30 years. One can only imagine what the next 30 years will be like.

7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, Hard Rock Live, 6050 Universal Blvd., hardrock.com/orlando, $60.50-$100.50.
