Orlando Ballet dusts off the snowflakes, soldiers and sugarplums for its annual production of The Nutcracker at the Dr. Phillips Center.
Now in its third year under choreographer Jorden Morris, the holiday tradition manages to feel both timeless and freshly enchanted every time. Expect elaborate sets, sparkling costumes and whimsical yet breathtaking choreography.
Families can pack the house for the matinees and enjoy pre-show children’s activities during select performances. Last year, a brief wave of online chatter critiquing the ballet’s “traditionalism” made the rounds, but audiences ultimately embraced the magic as they always do.
Tickets to The Nutcracker range from accessible seats to premium packages, if you want to get closer to the snowfall.
