This outdoor arts festival showcases the work of nearly 150 artists working in painting, photography, illustration, sculpture, jewelry, glass and ceramics. Budding artists and performers from local schools will also have the opportunity to show off their creativity.
Besides platforming all of this regional creativity, the underlying aim of the arts festival is to raise funds to award 12 area high-school students with $1,000 arts scholarships,
Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts happens on Saturday-Sunday, March 8-9, at Colonial Town Park. Saturday’s festivities start at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. The event is free.
