Lady Raven’s Cotillion cancelled

Image via Steven Miller Pix We’re sad to announce that, due to the threat of rain, this weekend’s Lady Raven’s Cotillion has been cancelled. We were looking forward to the second year of the Audubon Park Garden District’s pop-up cabaret fundraiser, featuring performances by John DiDonna’a entertainment group, Phantasmagoria (you can still catch them at Artlando). The organizers hope to reschedule the event some time next spring. Here’s the cancellation announcement from the event’s Facebook page.

To all of my dearest friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Lady Raven’s Cotillion will not be held this weekend as planned. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I cannot in good faith host you properly this weekend. As my darling Lord Falcon would say “Anything worth doing is worth doing right”. I have conferred with my advisor, Madame Ink, and her cards have repeated over and over to be open to change. So change I will. Instead of mourning the anniversary of the loss of my beloved Byron, we will now celebrate the day we first met–the first steps in our epic romance. The date will fall in the Spring. A happier occasion but still open to all the eclectic and cabaret that I hold so dear.
