Here's Buddy Dyer recording the new welcome message for the airport

Almost like an early Christmas, it's that time of year again when Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer gifts us all with his homely rendition of a welcome message for the automated people movers at Orlando International Airport.

From the Southern twang to the unique way Dyer pronounces Orlando, the welcome message makes the crammed ride next to desperate tourists that much more bearable.

"My staff often tells me that there are a surprising number of fans of my Orlando International Airport (MCO) welcome messages," Dyer says on Facebook. "I'm not sure why the messages have such a following, but today I recorded a new audio message for the automated people movers and I look forward to welcoming residents home and visitors to our city."

Apparently, some of you say "hello" back to Dyer's automated message, which makes this all the more weird and endearing.
