Stop me if you’ve heard this one: two critics, one sponsor, and a half-dozen unsuspecting Fringe-goers walk into a closet. The tiny storage room (dedicated to Jamie Mykins, who is our host on opening night) is decorated with glow-in-the-dark ghouls, Christmas lights, and a tiny puppet stage.
For the next seven minutes, the terrified subjects are subjected to terrible zombie jokes, an audience-interactive commercial for anti-zombie spray, and an assault from a vicious über-undead puppet. Fortunately, we have be fortified with cupcakes, kazoos, and foam pool noodles to defend ourselves. Unfortunately, the Sentinel’s Dewayne Bevil takes most of the beating.
The nightmare ends and we file out. Jeff Ferre, the mad genius behind this goof, is presenting it nightly for free to anyone who lines up. I guarantee you’ll get more than your money’s worth.
AAAaaaggghhh ZOMBIES!!!…Because Zombies $ell
