Officials announced Wednesday that beginning March 21, a new “resort fee” will be charged to guests using standard overnight self-parking at resort hotels.
People just visiting for shopping and dining, Disney Vacation Club members and people with disabilities will be exempt from the new charges.
The new fee, which includes tax, will be applied to their hotel bill upon checkout. According to Disney, the amounts vary per resort category:
– Value Resorts: $13 per night
– Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
– Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 a night
Disney graciously did not apply the new parking fees to anyone camping at Fort Wilderness. Also, Disney announced that the price of valet services at Deluxe resorts has been raised to $33 per night (sales tax included).
