With the recent burst of TLC’s Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo onto the scene, paranormal counterculture is going mainstream. Take this weekend’s Body Mind Spirit Expo, for instance, a two-day traveling assembly of holistic merchants and metaphysical experts who aim to help you “Shift Yourself and Transform the World.” On Saturday, visit Tracy Teclaw for ways to energize without stimulants (put down the Red Bull), or if you’re looking for a sunny post-apocalyptic forecast, head to Master Allan Chuck’s “Beyond 2012” lecture. That afternoon, Longwood’s own Avatar (no, he doesn’t look like a Smurf), Barry Sowder, will align your consciousness, while Dr. Linda Backman leads “Soul Evolution: Kaballah and Regression” evening workshops ($25 after admission charge). Sunday brings Tarot readings, life coaching sessions and angelic healing meditation. Sound a bit too touchy-feely?
