Forget five star hotels, sometimes getting into the wild and becoming one with nature is a good thing. If popping up a tent isn't quite your idea of rough it, some of Florida's state parks have got you covered with a variety of fun cabins to rent.

1. Bahia Honda State Park

Overlooking the bay, there are three cabins on stilts that give a lifted beachside view. The cabins have central heating and cooling and can accommodate between four to six people so bring friends to enjoy the view too.
$122.50 per night, $857.50 per week

2. Oleta River State Park

3400 Northeast 163rd Street, North Miami Beach, (305) 919-1844

These cabins have covered porches and air conditioning which give guests a relaxing side of Miami while still being nearby shopping and restaurants.

3. Myakka River State Park

These cabins, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, sit on one of the oldest and largest state parks. Each cabin includes a bathroom with a shower, kitchen and a common room with a porch and a fireplace.

$70 per night, $490 per week

4. Fanning Springs State Park

Sitting alongside the Suwannee River, guests in these spacious two-bedroom cabins can also enjoy the park’s hiking trails and the spring.

5. Jonathan Dickinson State Park

This park has twelve small modern-styled cabins, located near the Loxahatchee River. There are outside picnic tables and fire rings for grilling out.

6. Grayton Beach State Park

This park offers plenty of cabins just minutes away from miles of white sand beach. Guests can swim in the beach and use a boat ramp for freshwater and saltwater fishing.

7. T.H. Stone Memorial Joseph Peninsula State Park

These top-notch cabins have have space for six people and a screened in porch with an outside grill. Unsurprisingly, cell reception is extremely unreliable.

8. Three Rivers State Park

Bordering the southwest corner of Georgia, the park has one cozy cabin which overlooks the lake with one bedroom and one bathroom.

9. Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park

As one of Florida’s first state parks, the park provides a variety of cabin options. There are three different types of cabins: historic, block and modern which were built in the 1930s, 1960s and 2000s, respectively.
$75 per night, $490 per week


10. Suwannee River State Park

The historic park offers a full camping facility with five riverside cabins. Guests can explore one of the state’s oldest cemeteries and five hiking trails.

11. Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center

11016 Lillian Saunders Drive, White Springs, (386) 397-4331

For one hundred dollars a night, these cabins are located on the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail. On site, there’s a museum which honors American composer Stephen Foster and his music. The park holds special events like concerts and weekend retreats so check their calendar for more information.

12. Cayo Costa State Park

4 Nautical Miles West of Pine Island (26.685789, -82.245381), Cayo Costa, (941) 964-0375

This secluded park is surrounded by nine miles of the beach and only accessible by private boat or ferry. The one-room cabins, located near the beach and nature trails, don’t have electricity or water but restrooms, cold water showers and potable water are located in the park.

$36.04 per night, $252.28 per week

13. Lake Louisa State Park

Only a short drive from Orlando, the cabins overlook Dixie Lake and guests can go fishing, canoeing and kayaking. There’s rocking chairs in an enclosed porch for relaxing so you'll feel like your at Cracker Barrel, only better.
$120 per night, $840 per week

14. Silver Springs State Park

1425 Northeast 58th Avenue, Ocala, (352) 236-7148

Camping reservations will be available again on July 1 once construction is done. Aside from fully furnished cabins, the park offers canoe and kayak rentals and a horse riding trail with guided horseback rides. There's even a glass bottom boat which guests can ride.

$110 per night, $770 per week

15. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
7525 West Scenic Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, (850) 267-8330

At this park, cabins and bungalows are both available. The bungalows are fully furnished and even have cable TV. Guests can swim in the pool at Gregory E. Moore RV resort and use the shuffleboard courts. Boats aren’t allowed in the lake but guests can go freshwater fishing. There’s also a tram to take guests from place to place in the park.

For a bungalow, $100 per night Aug. 1 to Jan. 31. or $120 per night from Feb. 1 to July 31, plus a non-refundable $6.70 reservation fee.

16. Lafayette Blue Springs

Five cabins lifted on stilts are placed along the river where guests can enjoy the view. Campers can bike, hike and use the picnic area to grill out.
$100 per night, $700 per week

17. Hontoon Island

If looking for a secluded get-away, Hontoon Island is the place to go. The island is only accessible by boat or park ferry. The park’s ferry runs daily from 8 a.m. to an hour before sunset. Boating, canoeing and fishing are popular pastimes on the island.
$35 per night, $240 per week

18. O’Leno State Park

Enjoy camping in a cabin along Sante Fe River in one of Florida’s first state parks. There are a number of group rental cabins within walking distance of nature trails, a swimming area, dining hall, basketball court, volleyball net and horseshoe court.

19. Rock Springs Run

Rock Springs Run offers a resort rental cabin, The Hammock House, on the Wekiva River. The spacious and updated cabin gives guests DirecTV and wifi. The park offers a horse equestrian trail with guided tours and a bicycle or hiking path.
