Fat and juicy. Thin and crispy. Simple: high-quality meat and an artisanal bun, or complex: piled high with cheese, bacon, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, fried egg, and a million different “secret” sauces. There are plenty of contenders, but we think the burger is the ultimate American dish, and it deserves a celebration of its own. Therefore, welcome Orlando Burger Week, the latest addition to Orlando Weekly’s diverse slate of events. Starting Friday, more than 30 restaurants will try to win you over with their meatiest efforts, and each one’s only $5. We’re calling it a week even though it’s really 10 days, because we’re extra like that when it comes to burgers.
