State Rep. Ross Spano, a Republican lawmaker who recently attempted to declare porn a health crisis while also "liking" Twitter porn, says he plans to run for Florida attorney general next year.

Spano, who also is the chairman of the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee, made the announcement Thursday, Nov. 16, and is now the third member of the House and the fourth Republican seeking to replace term-limited Attorney General Pam Bondi, reports the News Service of Florida.

So far, Spano will be up against Rep. Jay Fant of Jacksonville, Rep. Frank White of Pensacola and Ashley Moody, a former Hillsborough County circuit judge.

"If I felt like the right person was in the race to be the attorney general of the state of Florida, you can trust me, I wouldn't be running,” said Spano to NSF. "I'm the only person among the three that are in the race right now that has these following things: the legislative experience; the conservative values; and the actual courtroom experience. I've been practicing law for 19 years. I've been in the courtroom for that time."

Back in September, just two days after filing a bill that would declare porn a health crisis in Florida, Orlando Weekly discovered that Spano's Twitter account "favorited" a tweet back on Jan. 8 from the "Goddess Lesbian" Twitter account, which features a video clip from adult entertainment company Reality Kings.

Ross responded to the story by saying, "Obviously, I have a long social media history on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram since I was first elected in 2012. With a thorough examination of my accounts, it will be easy to see that this is not my doing. I have since gone back, once notified, and rectified the problem. And I’m now looking into how it occurred in the first place."

Ross hasn't "liked" a single thing on Twitter since that story broke.
