As reported by the Miami New Times, the Sunshine Protection Act (a great name) reads, “As the ‘Sunshine State,’ Florida should be kept sunny year-round … daylight saving time shall be the year-round standard time of the entire state and all of its political subdivisions.”
It’s tough to argue with her logic, except for the fact that Florida would be out of sync with the entire east coast for 5 months out of the year. But really, who cares?
