When it comes to the power of two, few hip-hop unions around here are as loaded as Orlando duo E-Turn & SPS. Individually, they’re stars of their respective crafts: Turntablist SPS is a certified DMC battle champion and E-Turn’s one of the most aggressive, diamond-cut rhymers in the rap game right now; she’s even stunned some national headliners with her skills at their shows. Together, they idealize the two most core musical elements of hip-hop: the MC and the DJ. In other words, they’re the perfect storm. Now they’re ready to celebrate the official release of their second LP, ESP, on local Swamburger-led label Second Subject Recordings. A product of primetime talent from the city’s most forward-thinking, classic-leaning hip-hop tribe, this new record packs old-school ethos into a very now voice. Look for it to pop and shine live.

E-Turn & SPS with Rubox & Swamburger as the ESP Visual Orchestra, DJ Sureshot, Leisure Chief 9 p.m. Friday, July 10 | The Social, 54 N. Orange Ave. | 407-246-1419 | thesocial.org | $10-$15
