Halloween Horror Nights has announced its latest house theme, and fans are burning with excitement.
The Evil Dead Burn house is themed after the horror franchise’s sixth film of the same name, which was released this year. It’ll immerse fans in the horrors of the Necronomicon, the film’s demonic book made of human flesh, and its terrifying grasp over the world of Evil Dead.
Evil Dead Burn follows a grieving widow, Alice, who goes to stay with her in-laws for comfort — but then demonic spirits take over. The movie explores the use of grief as a weapon, and like all Evil Dead movies, does not skip out on the gore.
The most recent release in the franchise was 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, which followed Evil Dead (2013), a re-launch of the original Evil Dead, which came out in 1981.
The house will take guests through locations such as the Price family home all the way to a final battle with the evil spirits. Deadites will be at every turn, ready to scare guests and make them feel like they’ve stepped into the woods with Alice. Special merchandise, including a T-shirt, hat and acrylic figurine, is now for sale at Universal Studios.
Evil Dead has been featured at Halloween Horror Nights before, with a maze based on Evil Dead (2013) in the same year and a house in 2017 based on the first and second seasons of TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead.
Other houses annouced for this year’s HHN include Sinners, Hellraiser, Stranger Things, H.R. Bloodengutz, and Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos and Control.
Single-night passes and Fear Passes are currently on sale along with early entry tickets and R.I.P tours. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando begins on Aug. 28 and will run select nights through Nov. 1.
