Burrow Press turns 15 with a big party Credit: Courtesy photo

Upstart local lit imprint Burrow Press knows their way around fostering new adventurous literary talent and throwing a mean party.

The former quality has helped them build up an essential library of bleeding-edge tomes by authors like Ariel Francisco, Leah Sandler and Pat Rushin over 15 years of bucking against the spurious defeatism of print-is-dead. And the latter will help them mark this milestone in style at the Nook.

So put on your Sunday best and amble over to the Milk District for a “quinceañera-ish” anniversary soiree. Teege Braune will be guest-bartending, Jared Silvia of Earth Fault DJs ambient music, Ryan Rivas will say a few words (sadly not in a coyote mask) and a passel of Burrow writers will be in the house — though not reading! More surprises TBA.

5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, The Nook on Robinson, free.
