SeaWorld Orlando’s Spooktacular emerges yet again with even more family-friendly frights, sweets and surprises to start Halloween season early.

Running from Aug. 30 through Nov. 2, the event offers immersive festivities for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Guests can wander through the Pumpkin Garden, spotting playful pumpkin fish and listening to stories from the hidden Storyteller, or hop into Big Bird’s cozy Halloween story times.

Spooktacular offers plenty of opportunities to get moving, from The Scarecrown Halloween Dance Party and the Sesame Street Halloween Parade to the Bubble Dance Party, where kids can show off both their costumes and their moves.

New to the lineup this year is Spookley the Square Pumpkin, who joins the cast of colorful characters around the park.

No Halloween celebration is complete without candy, and SeaWorld offers a Trick-or-Treat Trail, where attendees can pick up sweet treats throughout the park with the purchase of a reusable bag at the park entrance.

Families also have the opportunity to start their morning with Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast, where you can join Sesame Street friends for photos, hugs and sweet Halloween memories.

Guests are welcome to dress up, though those ages 13 and up cannot wear masks or hoods. Costumes must follow the park dress code, and only face painting done by park artists is permitted.

Spooktacular runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on select dates and is included with park admission. For the older thrill-seekers, SeaWorld’s scarier side comes alive with Howl-O-Scream on Sept. 5 with a wave of screams — plus the event’s first-ever adults-only fashion show.
