Holiday pop-up bar dubbed the Reindeer Room takes over shuttered Jack and Honey’s Thornton Park space

The Reindeer Room, a holiday pop-up bar, has just opened in Thornton Park at 808 E. Washington St. in the space most recently occupied by the short-lived Jack and Honey’s.

The Christmas-themed pop-up opened Thursday this week and features a Griswolds-esque plethora of seasonal decor, a nonstop loop of Christmas music and movies, and holiday-themed drinks aplenty. The operation is run by the folks behind the Abbey venue, a few blocks away on Eola Drive.

After a weekend-long soft opening, the Reindeer Room is ready to serve its full drink menu, from “Jingle Bell Smash” to “Holly Jolly Hot Toddy.” Even more concoctions will be added to the menu in the coming days.

Current operating hours for the bar list opening time at 4 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Extended hours are set to be announced after Thanksgiving.
