Grimaldi’s Candy Co.’s chocolate-covered potato chips, made in Rockledge, Florida, have long been a favorite of locals and visitors to the South alike.

Yesterday, Florida Today reported that the salty-sweet delicacies will be carried at all Publix Supermarkets, starting today.

Fans of the Grimaldi Candy Co.’s chocolate-covered potato chips will start seeing the salty-sweet treat at all Publix Super Markets beginning Thursday.

Each 7.5 ounce box – half milk-chocolate chips and the other half dark chocolate – will sell for about $10 a box. They’ll be on the shelves of all 1,103 Publix stores.

“It’s huge, it’s absolutely huge,” Jim Frazier, president of the Rockledge-based Grimaldi, said of the deal.

Fans immediately began losing their minds on Twitter. Get them while you can, folks, because this seems likely to be a sell-out situation to us.
