WHAT'SIT RECORDS WONDER SHOWZY BLOCK PARTY
7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 | The Milk District, East Robinson Street and North Bumby Avenue | facebook.com/whatsitrecords
What’sit Records is a misleading name for a group that focuses more on events than records, but their party-planning skills are definitely on point. Last year’s Little Econ Love Fest out in Lakeland was successful enough to warrant another iteration and a bigger headliner (Toubab Krewe) this coming March. For this one-night mini-festival, though, they’re keeping it local, taking over the Milk Bar, Sandwich Bar, Spacebar and the parking lot out back. Sets by Bellows, Melbourne’s the Dull Blades and plenty more support St. Pete’s Sonic Graffiti, who self-released their debut full-length, Friendly Unit Creation Kit, earlier this month via Bandcamp. This is Sonic Graffiti’s first time playing Orlando since last June, and we can’t wait to check out the Stoogey grooves of their latest recording live. While wandering from stage to stage to check out some newer bands, be sure to peruse the art, food vendors and raffles that are promised.
