If you’ve noticed that your elderly neighbors have spent a little more time indoors and a little less time on their porch screaming at you to get off their lawn, it might be because of the recent popularity of the Orlando Music History Facebook group. Geriatrics all over Orlando have been posting their “back in my day” stories about long-gone venues like Visage and Electric Avenue (not just an Eddy Grant song!) and bands like Braille Closet and Naiomi’s Hair. Saturday night, a bunch of these former/current scenesters are cleaning out their garages of leftover merch from days of yore, asking their kids to show them how to record CSI on the DVR, and heading down to Lil Indies to give away T-shirts, buttons, compact discs and cassette tapes (what people used to listen to music on before vinyl) and plenty of other junk to whoever wants it. While you browse through the set dressing for probably the best possible episode of Hoarders, Mike Levin (Shyster, Sunday Morning Revival, the New Lows), Andy Matchett (Andy Matchett and the Minks, Andy Matchett and the Monorail) and Bob Hershberger (Bob on Blonde, Join Hands) perform old favorites, but what we’re really going to this for is to hear the stories about the wild times (Eddie Vedder in a headlock, Jeff Nolan’s bus trip, etc.) that everyone’s been posting about lately.

8-11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 | Lil Indies, 1036 N. Mills Ave. | willspub.org | free
