You might have seen him on TV shows like Bravo’s Top Chef and Cooking Channel’s Fresh Food Fast, or dishing up his Cajun-inspired fare on Food Network. Next week, Chef Emeril Lagasse (chef/proprietor of Orlando-based restaurants Emeril’s Orlando and Tchoup Chop, among 11 others across the nation) stops by the Macy’s store in Mall at Millenia for a live cooking demo. On Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m., Lagasse will set up a makeshift kitchen in the home department of the Macy’s store and prepare recipes from his latest cookbook, Emeril’s Kicked-Up Sandwiches: Stacked with Flavor (on sale Oct. 16). Foodie fans can expect Lagasse to serve up sandwiches, ranging from the sweet-and-savory classic Monte Cristo to a kicked-up-a-notch grilled truffle cheese with prosciutto and mushrooms. The first 250 people to make a $75 purchase of Emerilware by All-Clad kitchenware will receive a copy of the cookbook signed in-person by Lagasse. They’re only letting 350 people in for the event, and reservations are required. To RSVP, visit macys.com/events and use the zip code 32839.
