HELP US KEEP REPORTING. DONATE TO ORLANDO WEEKLY PRESS CLUB.

What can you do?

Here are some suggestions if you're interested in opening up the process:

• Tell pollsters you will vote for Nader or Buchanan, even if you won't, so they'll get the percentage needed to make the debates "There has to be a massive defy-the-pollsters movement," Raskin says.

• E-mail the CPD and say you're mad: Go to the "about CPD" page at www.debates.org.

• Tell your elected member of Congress you want more open debates.

• Protest at the debates. The schedule is as follows: presidential, Oct. 3, Boston, Mass.; vice presidential, Oct. 5, Danville, Ky.; presidential, Oct. 11, Winston-Salem, N.C.; presidential, Oct. 17, St. Louis, Mo.

• Keep track of ballot access issues. The website for Ballot Access News is www.ballot-access.org.
