Industrial Christmas Show for Charity

You had us at ... well, almost every single word of that title. Doubling as a Second Harvest fundraiser and Arnold Palmer Hospital toy drive, this show sees a bunch of local metal pounders getting together for an oddly feel-good cause.

8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Bombshell's Tavern, $5-$7

Sweater Fest 2017

Now in its 11th year, this annual festive blowout (and Zebra Coalition fundraiser) is going all-out with a lineup including Acoqui, Woolly Bushmen, Someday River, Transcendental Telecom and Pleasures.

6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Henao Contemporary Center, $5-$10

Grandma Party

In addition to all of the usual Grandma Party shenanigans, somehow the organizers went and booked about the strongest showcase of local femme musicians – Tiger Fawn, Von Nacht, TV Dinner – that we've seen in forever. You've been warned.

10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Stardust Video and Coffee, free

Elizabeth Baker

Multimedia artist and toy piano virtuoso makes a very welcome return to the City Beautiful with new conceptual piece "Headspace // I Found a Pearl in the Wall This Morning."

7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Gallery at Avalon Island, free

Florida's Dying Xmas Party

With live bands TBA, drunk Santa, a potluck, cheap drinks and Florida wrestling episodes featuring Kevin Sullivan at his deviliest, this promises to be your last respite of sanity before slipping your neck into the family noose for Xmas.

10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Will's Pub, free
