You can’t help but grin from ear to ear the instant you walk into Strikeouts. They knew that after fighting my way through an army of kids playing in the mall arcade I needed a $2 beer and a $4 gin and tonic. They could read my mind … and my bank statement. So few places can toe the line of unpretentious without also being a dump, but Strikeouts does it with ease. Throw on a T-shirt, order some nachos and don’t look over your shoulder once.
