Rotation: What local artists are listening to

This week: Kaleigh Baker

"I'm a sucker for rock & roll and blues, so naturally, the Black Keys have been on my radar for the past few years. Fortunately for me, these machines release practically a dozen records a year. Currently, the record that is packing the most punch for me is Blakroc, executive produced by Damon Dash. This is a hip-hop/rock musical collaboration between the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and a gaggle of hip-hop giants - Billy Danze, Jim Jones, Ludacris, Mos Def, Nicole Wray, Noe, ODB, Pharoahe Monch, Q-Tip, Raekwon and RZA."

(Kaleigh Baker, one of Orlando's best female vocalists, releases her new EP, The Weight of it All, this week. Her CD release show is 9 p.m. Friday, May 6 at the Social with guests Sarah Purser and Ty Hickson & the 35mm's. Admission is $10. It is Baker's last local show before she moves to New York.)
