Orlando Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier and his wife, Laura, recently closed on this fancy Winter Park estate for $2.9 million. An earlier listing of the property had a price tag of $3.25, meaning the Fourniers will likely score "nothing but net" when they eventually sell the home some day.
Located on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes overlooking Lake Maitland, the Frenchman now has only a 15-minute commute to the Amway Center for games, even though this chateau seems a million miles away. Built in 1995, when Shaq and Penny ruled the O-Town court, the five-bedroom home has been fully renovated and boasts five and a half bathrooms and 6,384 square feet for loads of guests, and updated carpet and finishings throughout. All this is on its own 2.15 acres of land with 119 feet fronting the lake.
The home is listed by the Bagby Team with Fannie Hillman & Associates, and Stephen Decristo of Olde Town Brokers represented Fournier.
It's nearly two and a half times the size of the three-bedroom Winter Park home the couple still own, which they bought in 2015. The new home was designed by local architect Steve Feller for work and guests, with an office, a grand staircase behind its enormous French doors (what else?), and floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive lake views.
A remodeled kitchen with stainless steel surfaces and granite countertops completes the package inside, before you venture out back to the great lawn, boathouse and dock. Check out this slam-dunk of a mansion.
