"The Immaculate Contraption" is becoming as traditional as the annual influx of southbound transients escaping the frigid northern winter. For several years now the Christmas Day gathering of local musicians to play the best, worst and cheesiest classic rock tunes possible has warmed the hearts of assorted losers who don't have families to be with for the holidays. Who could forget Steve Burry's triumphant cover of Neil Diamond's "America" last year -- sung not once but twice!
Although the exact lineup isn't yet settled, Immaculate Conceiver and Seven Mary Three main man Jason Ross has drawn on Matchbox 20, Kow, Princeton's Guff and his own band for previous incarnations of the event.
