Our fall concert will take you on an exciting musical journey, beginning with a rarely performed exuberant choral work, "Regina coeli," K. 127, written by a youthful Mozart, and moving on to Beethoven's widely acclaimed "Symphony No. 5 in C Minor." Samuel Barber’s lushly textured work for soprano and orchestra, "Knoxville: Summer of 1915," is based on the poem of James Agee which expresses a child’s feeling of wonder and loneliness. And finally, Morten Lauridsen’s "Lux Aeterna" is a work of serenity and hope. This is a perfect pandemic recovery program to bring joy, hope, and peace.
