Hawkers Asian Street Fare continues its expansion, Lineage Coffee Roasting has opened a new location, and more in local foodie news 

OPENINGS: Latin-Asian restaurant El Buda (formerly known as Buda Libre), by Iron Chef America contestant and Beat Bobby Flay judge Roberto Treviño, will open Dec.7 inside the Bumby Arcade. And, yes, the downstairs cellar will be open for seating ... Blue Jacket Grille, serving burgers, wings, flatbreads and beer, has opened in the former Smiling Bison space on Bennett Road ... Lineage Coffee Roasting has opened a new location on East Colonial Drive near the intersection of Mills Avenue, in the same building as the Mills 50 Lazy Moon ... Peppino's Organic Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria has opened in the Hourglass District ... Hawkers Asian Street Fare continues its expansion with its latest outpost, scheduled to open next summer in Delray Beach.

NEWS: Rob Chase, new owner of Cavanaugh's in College Park, says the wine store will undergo a thorough rebranding with a new name and concept. Chase will build a proper wine bar and offer wines by the glass, in addition to doing some interior and exterior work. The shop will close for one to two weeks in mid-to-late January before reopening the newly named wine bar in early February.

EVENTS: Tickets are still available for the last big food event of the year. The James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour Saturday, Dec. 9, at Ravello brings together Dean Max (DJM Restaurants), Paula DaSilva (Burlock Coast), James Boyce (Cotton Row) and Kathleen Blake (Rusty Spoon), along with Fabrizio Schenardi and Rabii Saber of the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Cost is $235 ... Also on Dec. 9, the Brunch Bros and Fork Orlando host a party celebrating the release of the new Brunch Bros Brunch Beer (it's a bacon-waffle stout) at Deadly Sins Brewing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ... Cress Restaurant will stage two fundraising dinners Dec. 14 and 15, with proceeds going to organizations helping animals affected by the California wildfires ... Christmas Dreams, a local charity creating memorable Christmas experiences for children battling life-threatening illnesses, has teamed up with Huey Magoo's for "A Very Magoo Christmas" Dec. 16. A portion of the proceeds from each Central Florida location will go toward the charity.
