Gimme Shelter: Adopt Churro!

Churro (A428127) arrived at the shelter a few weeks ago as a stray with an injured left front leg, which our veterinarian suspects to be radial nerve damage. He's been recovering for the past few weeks, and miraculously has started to regain use of his leg! While his gait has been improving recently, he will sometimes drag his front foot when he walks and has to wear a light bandage to prevent abrasions. Churro needs a patient adopter who would be willing to follow up with their own veterinarian after adoption regarding his front leg. He might need continued light bandages, acupuncture or physical therapy as he continues to recover. He also needs an adopter who can monitor his leg diligently during his recovery.

Churro is extremely friendly, and is very playful and active. He would do well in a household that has another kitten that he can play with, and who can give him plenty of attention, because he LOVES to be around people! Please email fostercare@ocfl.net if you'd like to meet Churro.

For the month of May, we are featuring the Cosmo-paw-litan promotion, where the adoption fees for both dogs and cats are $15. The adoption fees include sterilization, vaccinations and a microchip.
