Don Hopkinson holds vocal auditions for Central Florida Community Arts’ You Must Believe in Spring revue Jan. 12-13 at Central Christian Church. Performances are March 14-16; email for info.

Also Jan. 12, By the Way Productions holds auditions at the Orlando Rep for their May Fringe Festival mounting of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Email for an appointment; prepare a one-minute monologue and 16-bar rock song.

Walt Disney World is hiring Equity performers for Hoop-de-Doo Revue (Jan. 13) and Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Feb. 4), as well as interactive comics (Jan. 31). Application info is online at

Men 16-24 with dreams of dancing in a Broadway hit should fly to the airport Hyatt Regency Jan. 17 for Newsies auditions. Bring tap shoes, sneakers, kneepads, résumé. Auditions are first come, first serve and begin at 4 p.m. for Equity and non-union alike.

Round One of auditions for Garden Theatre’s Hairspray wraps up Jan. 9, and resumes for remaining roles Feb. 3-8. The musical begins rehearsal in February for an April opening; visit for details.

Male and female dancers 18 and older with ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary experience are also sought by Emotions Dance. Auditions are 9-10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 and 21, at Turning Pointe studio in Longwood. Call 407-788-1659 or visit for info.
