Start exercising your pinkies, tea lovers, because The Olde Cup and Saucer has grown from selling loose teas to actually serving it (and yes, there are crumpets).

The dynamics of the shop, located in a modest Altamonte Springs shopping plaza, can be tricky to work out. The store section boasts a bazillion tea flavors (I especially liked the London Fog, an Earl Grey variant) and dozens of accessories, but its close proximity to the grandma-tastic dining area makes it tough to signal whether you're hungry or just browsing. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and afternoon tea from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; each has its own menu but both feature small sandwiches and bready baked goods.

The prices are as light as the fare - generally under $5 for any given meal - and a small pot of the day's special teas can be nabbed for $2.75. Prompt service can be hit or miss, but a fresh pot helps the time pass.
