OPENINGS: Bento Café announced via Instagram they'll open a fourth area location at 1900 E. Colonial Drive in summer of 2018 ... Foxtail Coffee Co. opens its second location, this one inside DoveCote Brasserie, on July 21 – just in time for the restaurant's one-year anniversary ... Fuddruckers will open in a strip plaza on Colonial Drive near Bennett Road in late September or early October ... Terralina, by James Beard Award-winning chef Tony Mantuano, will replace Portobello Country Italian Trattoria in Disney Springs later this fall ... After a fire forced its closure in March of 2015, celebrated Southern restaurant Nikki's Place will reopen next month at 742 Carter St. ... Halal Guys opens on North Alafaya Trail near UCF on Aug. 11 ... Fingers crossed, Maitland – Teak Neighborhood Grill should open in the Village at Lake Lily by Aug. 1.

CLOSINGS: Spice Modern Steakhouse on Central Boulevard near Lake Eola has closed ... Also downtown, the 24-hour Red Mug Diner has shuttered.

EVENTS: This year's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will run from Aug. 31 (that's right, August) through Nov. 13 – a record 75 days. India, Spain and Thailand return to the global marketplace, along with five new stops including Active Eats, the Almond Orchard, Coastal Eats, Flavors From Fire and Light Lab ... Marlow's Tavern and Blue Martini join forces Sunday, July 23, for Pints & Bites at Pointe Orlando, taking place from 2-6 p.m. in the courtyard. Beers from Cigar City, Oskar Blues, Terrapin, Boulevard, Ballast Pointe and Ommegang will be offered. Tickets are $15, $30 and $60 ... Morimoto Asia hosts a Craft Beers & Bites Festival from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, featuring eight Florida craft breweries with dishes prepared by executive chef Yuhi Fujinaga. Cost is $49.80.

NEWS: Buddy Valastro, aka TLC's "Cake Boss," will make an appearance at America's Cake Fair at the Orange County Convention Center Oct. 14 and 15. More at ...
