Hawking for Coopers Hawk

I work at Coopers Hawk and it is one of the best restaurant companies to work for in the area (“Coopers Hawk is a wine-country-fied Cracker Barrel,” July 9). The staff really does care about their people and our guests. Our food is always of the freshest quality and is inspected daily. All of our food is prepared fresh each day; every sauce made by hand down to every dessert like the banoffee – I probably sliced the bananas and made that toffee filling and baked the crust to perfection. I am so glad a new chain is coming around. I am so glad to taste and experience something so unique. I love Coopers Hawk.

Sounds like you’ve been to Cracker Barrel, but apparently not Napa. At least you had the courage to admit the place was packed. I know several couples that have visited and all thoroughly enjoyed. Also, all have indicated, they will return, as they have signed up for their wine club and find the quality and value to be excellent for both food and wine.

Leave Hobby Lobby alone

I agree with this. Employers shouldn’t have to pay for birth control that goes against their religious beliefs (“Give Me Your Money,” June 9). There are other methods that are still available to those employees concerned. Funny thing is, I haven’t heard of a single employee of Hobby Lobby who is upset about this ruling. If someone has that big of an issue with it, they can get another job, they will be easily replaced with someone who will be more than happy with the birth-control options.

Crooks > liberals?

It takes idiots to vote in these idiots, and we have plenty of them here in Florida. Everyone knew Rick Scott was a crook, but the old fart Republicans voted him in anyway. … Better a crook than a liberal Democrat.
