Fall festivals, feasts and farm dinners take over the town

Every other Saturday, Kesh Restaurant and Deli, on East Colonial near UCF, hosts a supper club promising a four- to six-course meal for just $39 per person ($65 per couple). The cost includes pre-dinner canapés starting at 7:30 p.m., with the first course served at 8 sharp.

There are still tickets to Edible Orlando’s inaugural Field to Feast Dinner, Oct. 27 at Long & Scott Farms benefiting the Kids Café program at the Second Harvest Food Bank. The event features seven Disney chefs, including Scott Hunnel (Victoria & Albert’s), Brian Piasecki (California Grill) and Jens Dahlmann (Epcot Food & Wine Fest). The $175 ticket allows you to indulge in bourbon-maple pork belly, duck fat fries and Sarasota black sturgeon caviar, to name but a few of the dishes. More at edibleorlando.com.

Festivals! Festivals! Festivals: The huge Taste of Thornton Park is 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17; tickets are $30 ($40 day of the event). In Altamonte Springs, the Latin Food & Wine Festival this weekend at Cranes Roost Park offers two events: “Savor the Night,” a wine-and-dine walk-around ($85; $130 per couple) 6:30-10 p.m. Friday night; and the “Grand Tasting” from 4-10 p.m. on Saturday, a free event with various vendors selling their food and drink for between $1-$7. Downtown Disney Foodtopia features seven restaurants – Bongos, HOB, Paradiso 37, Planet Hollywood, Portobello, Splitsville and Wolfgang Puck Café – dishing out three-course dinners for $30; the nightly event ends Oct. 31. And the eighth annual Central Florida VegFest happens Oct. 26 at Festival Park from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.


The Food & Wine Experience Oct. 18 at the Hyatt Regency (MCO) features a four-course meal paired with Ken Forrester Wines from Stellenbosch, South Africa. Cost is $65 per person … The “Hallowine” tasting at Czerwinski’s Oct. 18 features special wines paired with cheeses, olive oils, spices and breads for $10. Costumes encouraged … Every Tuesday this month, upscale taqueria/tequileria Rocco’s Tacos donates 10 percent of sales to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Eat a taco, save a tata.
