Discover what reigns in Spain

For a taste of the diverse wines of Spain -- from Sauvignon Blancs to sparkling wines made with the Parellada grape -- reserve a seat at the "Spring Sensation" dinner, 7 p.m. Monday, May 22, at Don Pepe's Cuban Café (937 W. State Road 436, Altamonte Springs).

They're serving a seven-course pan-Latin feast with noteworthy labels from Torres vineyards in the Penedes region near Barcelona, including Torres Gran Coronas Mas la Planas, recognized as one of the best Cabernets on the market.

Torres wine representative Juan Ramon Pujol will be on hand, with Latin music provided by Ravelli. The menu includes ceviche mixta, a traditional Latin seafood cocktail; seasoned red snapper fried and topped with brandy sauce; and traditional churrasco, steak grilled with a splash of Santa Marvista Cabernet. It's $44 per person (tip not included). For reservations, call (407) 682-6834.
