If your idea of a pleasant Labor Day weekend involves staying the hell out of the sun (and rain, and clouds of mosquitos), the idea of spending three days in the air-conditioned dark of a movie theater may appeal to you. The Central Florida Film Festival takes place at the West Orange Cinemas in Ocoee (come on, it's not that far) Friday through Sunday. Highlights include Hoovey, a new entry in the teenage-athlete-with-a-disability genre starring everyone's favorite Puddy, Patrick Warburton. Director Sean McNamara will be on site to talk about the film after the Friday screening. McNamara is best known for directing Soul Surfer, a movie about a different teenage athlete with a disability.
