Brownierie Café opens in Winter Park, Crepeway Caffe is coming to Park Avenue, plus more in local foodie news 

The Brownierie Café, a Brazilian outfit offering brownies, cakes and pies, as well as pot pies, quiches and sandwiches, has opened in Lakeside Crossing in Winter Park ... The Polite Pig, a fast-casual barbecue venture by Brian, James and Julie Petrakis, has opened in Disney Springs. In addition to wine and beer, TPP will serve cocktails on tap like gin & tonics, old-fashioneds and rum & Cokes ... The second Orlando-area Wahlburgers has opened in Waterford Lakes ...

The brand-spankin'-new Emeril Lagasse Kitchen House & Culinary Garden will host a culinary skills class from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. Cost is $90 for children; $190 adults ... Look for Crepeway Caffe, an offshoot of La Creperie Caffe in St. Armand's Circle, to open on Park Avenue in Winter Park in the coming weeks ... Another Oley's Kitchen & Smokehouse has opened, this one on North OBT ... Tutto Caffe in Baldwin Park hopes to open by this weekend ... Tacos Legendarios, a new food truck specializing in spit-fired tacos al pastor, has rolled out on OBT.

Stonewood Tavern & Grill in Dr. Phillips has closed ... Altamonte Springs Persian eatery Zora Grille has also closed.

The five-course Art of Wine Dinner takes place Friday, April 14, at Norman's featuring master sommelier Laura Depasquale. Cost is $150 ... Rabii Saber, executive pastry chef at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando and member of the USA "Pastry Olympics" team, will cook alongside Bocuse D'or Team USA members Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud and more at a special event during the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Classic April 21 and 22. Cost for the singular California culinary event is (brace yourself) $1,750 ... Trina Gregory will host a viewing party of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Friday, April 21, at Se7en Bites. Her bakery will be featured on the night's episode ... Orlando's Most Authentic German Fest, featuring oompah bands, German beer and German food kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the German American Society of Central Florida. Admission is $10 ... For $125, you can sample more than a hundred wines and nosh on fare from scores of restaurants at the 7th annual Science of Wine event, April 29 from 7-10 p.m.
