Many of the finest sushi restaurants in town advertise otoro, but very few actually serve the wondrously fatty cut of tuna prized by sushi enthusiasts. More often than not, you’ll be informed that they’re all out, but not at Sushi Tomi. They always seem to have otoro and, at $5.25 for a piece, in-the-know locals here (many of whom are Japanese) avoid paying Nobu prices for an opportunity to indulge in an orgasmic extravagance.
