After years of digging their heels in against Blackfish-driven criticism of their killer whale captivity, SeaWorld abruptly reversed policy in March, partnering with the Humane Society of the United States to announce the immediate end of their orca breeding program. The remaining stock of Shamus will live out their lives without reproducing, and their theatrical shows will be phased out. No word yet on how much SeaWorld pays their employees to apply cetacean condoms, or if they simply make the massive mammals take cold showers.
