Band alert: footage needed

The producer of the Orlando Music Awards is seeking MTV-quality videos of any and all current local bands for use during the Orlando Music Awards ceremony, Oct. 16 at The Club at Firestone. All genres of music will be considered, and a band DOES NOT have to be an OMA nominee for consideration, but it must be an intact and working act.

Please, no tapes from bands that have broken up, unless some members have gone on to fame and fortune. (Anyone have a Tabitha's Secret video?)

Do not send home movies or live clips shot by friends. We're after cool, edited pieces -- the kind of stuff MTV used to play before it became the "Real World"/"Loveline" network.

Drop videos (VHS or S-VHS format only) at the Orlando Weekly offices (807 S. Orlando Ave., Suite R, Winter Park, FL 3792) in an envelope marked OMA Videos. If you want the videos returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with $3.20 postage on the envelope. Deadline: Oct. 6.

A list of accepted videos that'll be screened at the OMA show will not be released before the event.

NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE.
