Andrew W.K. has had one of the most unpredictable careers of the past 15 years. Though he came to prominence singing so-dumb-they’re-smart anthems like “Party Til You Puke” and “Party Hard,” Andrew Wilkes-Krier has gone on to host TV shows, go on tour as a motivational speaker and have a successful – and surprisingly well thought-out – advice column in the Village Voice. Though his newer musical output hasn’t been as well-received in recent years – though, really, how do you top his 2001 debut, I Get Wet? – he’s turned into such a pan-media powerhouse that his actual existence has been questioned by some. Sales for this show were apparently slow enough to have it moved from the Beacham to the Social, but any Orlando party animal can tell you that that means two things: a) better sound, and b) a personal party in your face. It may be Andrew W.K.’s actual sweat or blood or whatever that you’re soaking in. Kinda gross, but kinda cool.
