Who doesn’t love a good cabaret? We’re singing with joy and anticipation for the Orlando Gay Chorus’ performance this Saturday, which we don’t think will be your average cabaret. For the event’s venue, OGC is ditching the typical local theater and treating the audience to an evening at the Orlando Museum of Art. The four ensembles of the chorus, plus smaller groups and soloists, are set to sing their hearts out to favorites from popular hits like The Wizard of Oz and NBC’s musical series Smash. The night begins with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar, but if you’re feeling like a very important person, fork over a little more money for the pre-show meet-and-greet, where you’ll rub shoulders with the group’s new conductor, Harold Wright, and emcee Julie Broughton of WKMG Local 6, not to mention get access to gourmet hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. – Caroline Fernandez
