Florida's price-gouging hotline whenever you see this type of bamboozlement.
This morning, F0x 35's Jackie Orozco tweeted a picture of a receipt allegedly showing a case of Zephyrhills water going for the outrageously bloated price of $22 from a Shell gas station at Ronald Reagan and Dog Track Road.
Price-gouging, or dramatic price increases for essential items such as water, food and gas, is prohibited by Florida law in a state of emergency, which Gov. Rick Scott declared on Monday.
If you see ridiculously high prices like this, please report it by calling the hotline (866)-9-NO-SCAM or filing a complaint here.
Hurray for capitalism.
There's still plenty of places to get water. Ten 10 Brewery will fill your containers for free with clean water from their industrial water filtration system, which is probably way better than your tap. Also, Broken Cauldron is doing the same.
